The DMC DJ championships Hong Kong Finals presented by Bacardi will take place on Thursday 9th August at California restaurant & bar, and this year the competition is fiercer than ever. Celebrating its 20th year in Hong Kong, the top DJs in town get 6 minutes each to prove their mastery of the turntables, and are judged on technical ability as well as creativity.

We are giving away 4 pairs of guest list places to those that really want to go and listen to the best skills in Hong Kong! Read on to find out how to enter.

Deadline 30th July 2007. You must be over 18 to enter this competition and be based in Hong Kong.   

Further event details 

The objective is to mix, cut and scratch using vinyl records to create an original beat or sound. Samples from popular songs are always a crowd favourite, but the pioneering DJs will generate all-new rhythms.

The winner of the Final will fly to London on Oasis Hong Kong Airlines to compete in the DMC World Finals, with past representatives including DJ Tommy, DJ Galaxy and DJ Lazy Ming. Hong Kong’s defending champion is DJ Mikey; who will take the crown this year?

Don’t miss these masters of our time. The competition starts at 10pm, cover charge of $150 includes 1 Bacardi drink (Entertainment Card members get free entry).
