Deadline 1st March 2007. You must be over 18 to enter this competition and be based in Hong Kong.

Headlining the March 3 gig are the awesome CATSUOMATICDEATH, a Tokyo based, “Occult Grunge Rock ‘n’ Roll band” whose heart is geographically located somewhere among Bret Easton Ellis’ American Psycho, William Faulkner’s Absalom Absalom, the Stooges’ Raw Power, and The Doors’ The End. Renowned for their extreme, theatrical shows (where they wear kimonos and top hats) the high voltage threesome consist of two “skinny” guys and a “sexy and destructive female drummer”. They come hurtling into town in anticipation of their European tour this summer.

On the very same night we also welcome RYAN HUI, son of the legendary Hong Kong songwriting genius Sam Hui. While living in the United States, Ryan formed the punk-rock band “One Foot Forward“ and released several recordings. In 2004, Ryan retuned to Hong Kong to continue his music career. Having first performed in the Hong Kong Coliseum in 1987 (at 11 years old) Ryan Hui 's songs present a new style for the Cantopop in Asia.

Opening the night are an awesome and critically acclaimed group from Manila, UP DHARMA DOWN. The award-winning four-piece combine their love for Rock, Neo-soul, Acid Jazz and Electronic music with influences ranging from Jill Scott, Robert Plant, Janis Joplin, The Doors, The Cure, Spyro Gyra, Zero 7, Photek and Portishead. The band won the In The Raw Award at the 2005 NU 107 Rock Awards, and as Best New Artist of the 2006 NU 107 Rock Awards. They were also featured as MTV Philippines' Rising Star and performed for MTV Sessions and at the MTV Philippines Video Music Awards.
