Get ready to party at the Sevens Village
Get sorted for the Hong Kong Sevens at the Sevens Village. This rugby refuge provides fans with all the live sporting action for free, the best after parties and a fantastic weekend of fun.
Located directly opposite the stadium on the grounds of the Indian Recreation Club, as the name suggests, the Sevens Village encompasses everything you need to have the best Sevens weekend – day and night.
During the day…
If you didn’t manage to get a ticket for the greatest sporting event in town or you just want a breather from the South Stand then head to the Sevens Village. All the rugby action will be broadcast live on a massive 6 x 7 metre screen for free.
The Village Pub provides a haven for rugby fans where they can sit out in the garden and watch all the games over a pint. Food stalls mean that you can grab a bite to eat whilst merchandising stalls from vendors such as Kukri, the official clothing brand for the Hong Kong Sevens, mean that you can pick up rugby memorabilia. If your feet are a little weary from standing up and cheering your team on then grab a foot rub from the masseuses on site.
Once the final whistle sounds then that is when the real party begins…
Champagne Tent
Think ahead and get your ticket to the hottest Sevens after party. A strict “name not down, not coming in” policy means that you have to present and wear your ticket in the form of a wristband the whole weekend to get access to the Champagne Tent on any of the three nights.
As well as rubbing shoulders with the great and the good and rugby stars, dance to hip live bands and acclaimed DJs and sip exquisite Champagne, you can also get into the rest of the Sevens Village, including the Village Pub and Big Top party. As well as accessing all areas your ticket will also mean you do not have to queue up with the masses and fast track your way to the best party Hong Kong has to offer over the Sevens weekend.
Tickets cost HK$400 (three night’s entry) and are only available in advance from Ironmonger Events. Visit www.ironmongerevents.com or telephone +852 2973 0372 for more information.
Big Top Party
If you don’t get your act together in time for the Champagne Tent then you can still go to the ball… tickets for the Big Top Party will only be available on the door for HK$150 each night. Door entry will be charged after the final whistle and will grant you a ticket to the biggest party of the weekend. Thousands of people will rock out to live music and resident DJs whilst drinks, such as pitchers of sea breezes, will be served behind Hong Kong’s longest bar.
If you want to take a break from the party, chill out in the Village Pub, which will also be open throughout the night.
