With spring in full swing, Café Siam will continue to serve true, authentic Thai food with the creation of ‘Cooking with Flower Promotion’ in this beautiful season. The normal temperature in Thailand all year is about 25-30C and enjoy glorious sunshine throughout the year.
In Thailand, flowers impinge people in a variety of ways. Not only do Thai people enjoy the look of blossoms, they have also created dishes to incorporate them. A number of flowers are used as cooking ingredients. They may be fried, boiled, steamed, stewed, battered, baked, grilled, pickled, or they may simply be eaten raw. It is remarkable how Thais have found so many ways of cooking flowers.
For the whole month of April, Executive Chef, Ah Boa will compile a special menu using classic Thai recipes with innovative thinking to incorporate flowers into tasty cuisines. The special dishes coming up include :
KURARB TOD KROP $ 58
Crispy Rose Petal with Sweet Plum Dipping Sauce
TOM KHA DOGE ZON GRIN $ 58
Coconut Milk Soup with Chicken and Cowslip Petal
YAM DOGE KEG HUAY TALAY $ 98

COYOTE bar & grill ® in Wanchai today announced the launch of the new Left Handed SIGNATURE MARGARITA®, which will become available on 1st of April. Hong Kong's most preferred premium margarita will feature the trademark squeeze of fresh lime and lemon, big shot of Jose Cuervo Tequila and a dose of triple sec liquor, but the newly designed cocktail has been re-engineered to fit more comfortably in the left hand, thereby reducing "spills" for left-handed margarita lovers. It is estimated that more than 875 left-handed customers visit COYOTE bar & grill ® each day.
The new left-handed SIGNATURE MARGARITA® will have the salt rotated 180 degrees, thereby redistributing the weight of the cocktail so that the bulk of the ingredients will skew to the left, thereby reducing the amount of ice and other ingredients from spilling out the right side of the drink.
"We have always been proud of the fact that we offered 75 different variations of our SIGNATURE MARGARITA®. Now it’s 76 ways. It's the ultimate Mexican indulgence for our left-handed customers," said Gareth Moore, General Manager for COYOTE bar & grill ®
It is estimated that approximately 13 percent of the Hong Kong population (or 845 thousand people) is left-handed, making this consumer group one of the largest--and one of the most over-looked--minority segments in the city.
The new left handed SIGNATURE MARGARITA® will be launched in a half-page ad in HK Magazine, March 31 edition. Initially, the Left-Handed SIGNATURE MARGARITA® will only be available in COYOTE bar & grill ®, however, the company is considering plans to roll it out in it’s sister Mexican restaurant in SoHo, Caramba, located on Elgin Street.
COYOTE bar & grill ® is Hong Kong’s premier Mexican restaurant and first true Margarita bar and is a well known party destination. Classic Mexican dishes alongside the more adventurous and ultra-hip Southwest US Cuisine has established Coyote as a true destination restaurant.

DiVino Wine Bar & Grill has re-vamped its successful “Aperitif Moment”, an enduringly popular concept that offers customers, free of charge, a selection of small savoury treats (similar to tapas) that perfectly complement social or after-work drinks.
The newly designed Aperitif Moment, which takes place daily 6pm and 7:30pm, sees a total change of items. These include mini Parmesan tarts; mozzarella in carrozza; traditional Italian chicken "polpette"; mini vol au vent with porcini and mascarpone ; tomato wedges with tuna and caper; "arancini" deep fried rice ball; and roulades of bell pepper and anchovies.
According to Chef Michele Senigaglia, who has designed the new items: “Our Aperitif Moment has been hugely popular ever since we opened back in March 2003. We get many regulars coming back time and again to try it and also the regular daily pizza squares that are served at 7:15pm.”
To further enhance the tempting after work offer, Senigaglia also serves up the Chef’s Call at 7:30pm - a portion of piping hot, fresh pasta which is shared out amongst whoever is present.
This tradition has proved so popular in Italy that customers often start appearing up to an hour beforehand to make sure they get a plate of something truly fresh, hot and totally tasty!
DiVino is open daily for lunch and dinner Monday – Friday. Open on Saturday evening. Closed on Sundays. All major credit cards accepted.
