London’s Fabric Up for Sale BUT Still Open
London superclub Fabric issued a fresh statement this week confirming that they remain open for business despite the club going into administration and being advertised on a property website as up for sale.
“Despite the administration appointment over Fabric 591 Limited, the nightclub, records and publishing continue business as usual,” they said in a statement.
“The nightclub enjoyed a fantastic bank holiday weekend with 3 successful events. For more information about fabric's future events, please refer

The venue itself was described on Property Week’s website simply as a ‘leasehold premises’ with ‘24-hour licence and a capacity of 1,510’,attracting immediate interest from potential buyers, property consultant Colin White from Edward Symmons told the magazine.
“Just 24 hours after being appointed, we have already received a number of enquiries from potential purchasers,” he revealed.
“We anticipate continued interest in the sale of Fabric, particularly from other major club operators in London and the south east, and we are confident that a purchase will be secured for the business as a going concern,” he predicted.
In more London club news Islington Council upheld a decision to stop property developers from bulldozing the Farrindon building that used to house Turnmills, though cautioned that the nowadays ‘crumbling’ empty shell still faces an uncertain future.
Rejecting Derwent London’s proposal to build a glass fronted 7-story office and retail block last November, then Clerkenwell ward Councillor George Allan criticized the company’s eagerness to raze Turnmills to the ground as quickly as possible.
"They haven't taken any steps to market the building,” Councillor Ward told the Gazette. “It is strongly identified by the council as one worth retaining. A high proportion of buildings in the conservation area are not listed, but it doesn't mean you don't take steps to protect them."
