DJs With Bad Haircuts; Secret Island (DJ) Toilet Etiquette
“The best moment for me this year was when I was DJing and during a long track popped to the bar for a beer. As I ordered, the barman smiled and asked me if I’d like to join him to go and empty the toilets together. He hadn’t realized I was DJing.”

Jonty Skrufff: What did you think of this year's event? (compared to previous years: what stood out?)
DJs With Bad Haircuts: “Of course this year was very, very special for me. I got married on the island and became SIN’s first festival husband. I will never forget my wedding at sunset on the last day of the festival.”
Skrufff: All the DJs always play for free: what is it about SIN that makes you want to be involved?
DJs With Bad Haircuts: “It isn’t for free. You get this SIN DJ feeling when you play and this is unpayable. I played songs which I would never play at a normal party and the people went crazy such as the Cure’s Love Cats in the middle of a house set.”
Skrufff: What makes SIN different from other festivals?
DJs With Bad Haircuts: “What’s different is that by the end of the festival you’ve met virtually everybody on the island and had a drink with most of them. And then you’ll meet them all next year because everybody comes back.”
Skrufff: How much of a problem is the weather; how do you handle storms and being soaked (without getting fed up?)
DJs With Bad Haircuts: “Following the hurricane at last year’s festival I bought special waterproofs this year and definitely you need to be prepared for the worst but having said that the best moments on the island are when the sun shines after the rain. Everywhere you look you see smiling faces, it’s elemental.”
Skrufff: What would you change about SIN?
DJs With Bad Haircuts: “I’d change nothing at SIN at all actually though for me personally I’d reschedule my travel arrangements. Next year I’ll be coming by helicopter.”
Skrufff: What advice would you offer someone who's never been before?
DJs With Bad Haircuts: “I’d just speak to them a little about my experiences and then they’d see from my eyes lighting up how special it is.”
