What did you know about Macau before heading there on June 13 for RTU Macau?
Not that much actually…. So we are ready to be surprised when we get there!!
How will you be warming up for your debut appearance at RTU Macau?
We don’t think warming up will be necessary since we’re really excited to perform in Macau. We just have to make sure our energy is on point, but that’s never really a problem.
Having toured all over the world, do you feel you have to adapt much to cultural variation in music festivals worldwide or does it always feel like a globally-translatable thing?
We cannot deny that it’s definitely different everywhere we go, there is a different vibe and energy. This is something that you especially see coming back in the crowds, for example the crowds in America are absolutely crazy and energetic compared to some other countries. But our shows are always full of energy and we try to bring that out there wherever we go and the crowds give us so much back in return.
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be?
Carnage, Steve Aoki, or Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike!
What’s your favorite track to play out right now?
At the moment probably our newest track ‘Always’, since this track is very close to our heart and we wanted to show how much all the support we receive means to us through this track and its video. And ‘White Clouds’, our upcoming release. May 11 on Beatport!
Any new genres or sounds you're thinking will blow up this/next year?
Well, you see a lot of DJ’s nowadays get more into deep house music, but we wouldn’t know any other particular sound/genre that will blow up.. I mean every DJ has got their own sounds and you also just adapt your set to the crowd’s vibe.
What can we expect from you next?
We are definitely getting back in the studio. We have been busy with writing and producing, so there are some big releases coming up this year, which we are very excited about. And of course we are touring. Last year we did so many shows, but we believe we can go bigger and we are excited to do that!
Do you have a few tips for going to a music festival?
There are so many good music festivals nowadays, such as Tomorrowland, EDC and Mysteryland, but Ultra is definitely a legendary one. And just in general we really like festivals, since it has got this hippie kind of camping vibe and everyone acts and feels free.
What does Ultra mean to you?
Ultra is really a big deal for us and it is awesome to be able to say that we performed at Ultra in our career. And now to perform at the first ever RTU Macau is even more crazy!
DVBBS will be at Road to Ultra Macau at Club CUBIC on 13th June, more details here
