Matt King & Dimitri Nakov: ‘Draguer/Asylum’
Matt King & Dimitri Nakov: ‘Draguer/Asylum’
(Tronic)
Christian Smith continues his fine run of form on his always worth checking out label Tronic, snapping up a tech flavoured pair of tracks both of which are aimed squarely at the dancefloor.
A side Draguer starts with a stripped but groovy tech/ house flavoured beat which the duo layer up progressively with cut up vocals, percussion loops and infectious hand claps (cutting away briefly for a simple break down 5 minutes in). Asylum instead relies on a more insistent beat and relentlessly looped driving 4 note riff which drives along merrily as the rest of the track ebbs and flows beneath it.
