Toast to le nouvel an, French-style at La Vache’s notorious Le Disco party for an all-you-can-eat affair of delicious USDA Prime rib-eye steak and frites, complete with live DJ tunes followed by a midnight champagne toast. Things are always weird and wonderful at art lounge-slash-bar Duddell’s, which is taking on a circus theme at its countdown party this year, where local ska band The Red Stripes will be gearing you up for the first moments of 2017. For prime views of the fireworks from Seafood Room's fantastic rooftop, live DJ, and a four-hour open bar of premium liquors from 11pm-3am, Seafood Room is the event you'll want to book to bid 2016 farewell. For the ultimate countdown, head to Grappa’s Cellar for a musical countdown through the ages: the resident band The Cellar Sensations will be singing songs each hour from the 50s and 60s and ending with the best of 2016 pop at midnight. Aqua Spirit’s redux of its New Year’s Eve bash is the sexiest yet, and with the best views of the Hong Kong side skyline as well as the midnight fireworks too. The party’s all about “letting loose” under its mysterious theme of leather and lace, and masks will be provided. Meanwhile, the bar will be flowing with plenty of Champagne, Ketel One Vodka and more with free flow from 11pm until late, as well as canapés from 1-3am. 10) Hat and Sunglasses Madness on New Year’s Eve
If you’re looking for some early daytime festivities or simply looking for a place to camp out with friends, Sugar (Bar.Deck.Lounge) over at EAST hotel will be hosting a party on its spacious rooftop terrace, starting early from 5pm until late. Expect special drinks, snacks, and a live DJ for the night—book ahead, and you’ll get a complimentary mini-bottle of Prosecco for your table. 11) The Fiasco at Carbone
Transporting party-goers to mid-century New York at Carbone, the Italian American institution will have an early dinner seating followed by The Fiasco, the raucous evening celebration for you to ring in the new year with live music, and suave ballads and banter from Rat Pack-style theatre.
