Ophelia – the exclusive performance venue for the sophisticated and recognized as Hong Kong’s hottest entertainment and performance destination, presents A Quentin Tarantino Anti-Valentine’s Day Party.
Known for his unpredictable, violent, but legendary movies such as Kill Bill, True Romance, Death Proof and many more, Ophelia will be returning for another immersive celebration of the existence of freedom and singletons in tribute to all things Tarantino on Thursday, 14th February 2019.
Ophelia muses’ will be appearing in Crazy 88 masks and hostesses as ‘Nurse Elle’s Medicine’ Viper scene (Kill Bill Vol. 1, 2003). Quentin Tarantino’s classic movie scenes will be revisited for the duration of 3 days. Scenes will include Snake Dance (Dusk till Dawn, 1996), Missing Reel (Deathproof, 2007), I Want to Dance (Pulp Fiction, 1994). As the night goes on, guests will be emerged in various visual simulation from different themes of each movie, creating a luscious Ophelia experience.
Starting on Thursday, 14th February 2019 we welcome special guest DJ Naomi and Miss Mid Levels. DJ Naomi will be taking over the DJ booth all night with a mix of upbeat house, funk, hip-hop, deep & vocal house. Naomi is based in Shanghai, and is the first foreign female DJ of the popular Chinese Show "80's Talk Show" (“80后脱口秀”). She has worked with many big names on multiple events such as Levis, Ferrari, Valentino, Tim Burton, Paris Hilton, Jessica Alba, Rita Ora, Taylor Swift, J Lopez, Fan Bin Bin, Gong Li, Kendall Jenner, just to name a few.
Miss Mid Levels who will also be making an appearance is the one and only mother of the Haus of Levels and 2nd year reigning residential queen of Ophelia. Miss Mid Levels is a costume designer who takes her inspiration of haute couture and high end fashion with her stoned gowns and lace front wigs, as well as a sharp tongued wisecracking host who will read you and everybody you love to filth.
A special list of cocktails will be dedicated to the Anti-Valentines Day theme, such as Heartless, Tarantino Old Fashioned, Bleeding Love where you can expect a mix of sweet and spiced flavours.
As Ophelia’s third Anti- Valentine’s Day party, the venue promises to offer a one-of-a-kind immersive experience. Enter a world that’s entirely our own.
