For private celebrations, parties and events, ROKA Macau offers a selection of excellent value-for-money packages - and the peace of mind of a dedicated events manager.

The hip contemporary Japanese dining concept located at the high rollers section of The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel, now offers Private Room Packages for up to 28 guests starting from just MOP500 per person.

First opened in London in 2004, and launched last year in Macau, ROKA is known as the party destination for the celebrity crowd, with private room packages that can be tailor-made for the most exciting personal or corporate events.

Focusing on the excitement of a robata open charcoal grill, ROKA has been a sensational ‘hit’ since the opening of the 11,000 sq ft restaurant that features a separate chic lounge bar and outdoor terrace beside The Venetian Canal – a signature feature of the spectacular new casino resort at ‘Asia’s Las Vegas’.

ROKA’s six unique private rooms offer settings for hosting special get-togethers, events and celebrations.  The Private Rooms differ in size, shape and design, with the largest seating up to 28 guests for a meal.  One of the rooms is for ultra private occasions and is fit with a sofa lounge and its own restroom. Another is adjacent to the lively ‘robata grill’, divided only by a glass wall and perfect for enjoying the drama of chefs in action. Two private rooms have their own wine cellars.

Menus are created for sharing, with menu options starts at MOP500 per guest and can be tailor made to parties requirements, with minimum spend requirements from MOP4,000.  Our menus include a premium sashimi and sushi selection, cold and hot starters, robata fresh from the grill, delicious mains and finished off perfectly with ROKA’s signature premium dessert platter.

As well as dinner events, ROKA can tailor a lunch menu on request, while also catering for morning tea and pastries or afternoon tea.

Events can be made even more fun with selections of unique hand-crafted sakes from various regions of Japan, and a wine cellar houses over 1,400 bottles of premium wines from around the world. ROKA signature cocktails and well-being tonics made from fresh seasonal fruits, premium label spirits, and a selection of Japanese and herbal teas can also be added to the party package.

Taking the Japanese dining experience beyond sashimi, sushi and tempura, ROKA is named after its dynamic signature robata (RO) grill, for socializing over meals and drinks, and (KA), which stands for a welcoming, burning fire.  The grill surrounded by counter seating serves charcoal-grilled quality meats and poultry, seafood, and seasonal vegetables with signature sauces and marinades.

The tradition of “robata” cooking originated from Northern Japan, where fishermen shared and cooked their catch over an open fire in coastal villages. The custom subsequently extended into Japanese homes, with a special room set aside for the “ro” or brazier made from iron and set into the floor.

At ROKA, the style is “authentic but not traditional”, with an emphasis on ingredients and flavour, simple and appealing presentation, a menu designed for sharing, and ethnic Japanese crockery.

MTV JAPAN announced today that Nelly will perform live at the MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2008 to take place at Saitama Super Arena. He will join previously announced performing acts EXILE, Fergie and Simple Plan with more to be announced in the coming weeks.

The star studded show will also include appearances by AAA, AI, Namie Amuro, Asia Engineer, Aquq Timez, Double, Funky Monkey Babys, Motohiro Hata, Ikimonogakari, Yuna Ito, Leah Dizon, Shota Matsuda, Megumi, mihimaru GT, Suzanne, Shun Oguri, Ruy Ramos, Seamo, Shonan-no-Kaze, Verbal of m-flo, Akiko Wada & Kochi, Yu Yamada and Zeebra x Aktion. Colbie Caillat, Flo Rida, Miliyah Kato and w-inds. will perform at the Red Carpet Show preceding the MTV VMAJ main show. In addition, DJ Kaori and INFINITY16 will heat up the MTV VMAJ AFTER PARTY immediately following the MTV VMAJ main show.

The MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2008 gives music fans the opportunity to select Japanese and international artists in the same award categories. Avril Lavigne, Ne-Yo, EXILE and Kumi Koda grabbed the most nominations with three apiece.  The show will be hosted by Cyril, live from Saitama Super Arena on MTV, Saturday May 31 to over 7.2 million homes in Japan, with portions of the program airing on MTV’s global network, reaching more than 559.8 million households and 1.4 billion viewers worldwide, including MTV Asia and MTV China, air dates and times will be determined later.
