On the 27th May 2011, Hed Kandi lands in Lan Kwai Fong Chengdu, China for the very first time!

As the second “Summer Love” Party held by Lan Kwai Fong Chengdu, Hed Kandi artists DJ Glen Horsborough, Eloise (live Saxophone) and none other than Lauren Rose will be performing live to a packed Courtyard of party goers. Lauren Rose known for her massive hits such as “Put Your Hands On” & “What is this Feeling” will be on stage throughout the night in front of a massive LED visual display and concert style production to make it one of the largest shows to ever appear in that part of China.

So get ready for an evening of Glamorous Hed Kandi music in Chengdu!

Lauren Rose (Singer) Biography

Lauren Rose is a talented young vocalist who is set for major recognition and accolades in 2010. Based in London, Lauren’s vocal talents shone through from an early age at the Italia Conti Performing Arts School and she is now firmly established on the scene as one of the most successful emerging singers and live performers of our current time.

From her eye-catching early performances, Lauren made the natural move to the recording studio. While recording her first demo, she was noticed by Ryan Laubascher who quickly began the production of her first album.  Lauren has since recorded songs that have received national press attention. ‘Hava Nagila (Baby Let’s Dance)’ – a cover of a traditional Jewish song and originally recorded as a present for a family member – picked up both radio and television support was signed to Marble Hill Productions and has since received over 850,000 hits on YouTube.

Throughout 2009 Lauren worked closely with Hed Kandi for whom she has recorded tracks with No Halo (‘Put Your Hands On’ and ‘What Is This Feeling’) and Warren Clarke (‘I’m Over This’) under his Jonni Black alias. ‘Put Your Hands On’ – a re-edit of the classic house cut ‘Sunday Shoutin’ by Johnny Corporate – immediately stormed the dance charts upon its release in summer 2009 and received radio support from Pete Tong  (Radio 1), KISS FM and Capital FM. It has also featured on a number on high profile compilations such as ‘Ministry Of Sound – Decade In Dance’. Both ‘What Is This Feeling’ and ‘I’m Over This’ are set for release in 2010 and have recently featured on the latest Hed Kandi (‘A Taste Of Kandi – Winter 2010’) compilation.
This Summer 2010 now sees the release of Lauren’s brand new single with superstar DJ/Producer Guru Josh – ‘Frozen Teardrops’. The track is a sure-fired clubland hit, and has been licensed to Ministry of Sound Germany and Spain’s Blanco y Negro – a sign of just how big the record is set to be.

In addition to her studio work, Lauren is also an experienced performer. Despite her young age she has already toured extensively throughout Europe and the U.S. She has completed a 6 week, 30 date UK tour alongside X-Factor star Ray Quinn while her  killer performances of ‘Put Your Hands On’ have recently rocked clubs from Singapore to the Dominion Republic. Lauren has also recently performed at Pacha (London) and also raised the roof for Hed Kandi at their infamous summer residency at Space (Ibiza).

Glen Horsborough (DJ) Biography

Ever since the House Music bug took hold at a young age, Glen hailing from the North East of England is not only known to the Clubbers there but also to the many listeners of his Radio Shows which have now spanned over 10 years.
His dedication and love for House Music has seen him play at all the major Clubs in Newcastle and beyond including gigs in Ireland, Spain, Germany, Denmark & Canada playing alongside some of the big players in the game including Grant Nelson, David Morales & Steve Angello to name a few.

Whether it be vocal disco house, Killer breakdowns or dirty twisted bass lines Glen's understanding of working a crowd into a hands in the air frenzy and the enthusiasm in his sets, makes him a dj who leaves you wanting more!
2011 looks like an exciting year for Glen, spreading the world wide sound of Hed Kandi where ever he goes.

Eloise (Live Saxophone) Biography

A student of the prestigious Chetham's School of Music and a Graduate Scholar of the Royal College of Music London, Eloise has already achieved a lot in her 22 years.
Having distinctions in the DipABRSM and LRSM diplomas, CD recordings and international tours under her belt, she has also performed for members of the Royal Family, had recitals in the Festival Hall, Cadogan Hall and Bridgewater Hall to name a few; as well as being the only UK representative in the European Saxophone Ensemble.

With diverse musical expertise, Eloise is in demand professionally for orchestras, jazz groups, percussion ensembles and in the classical, jazz, latin and world music fields. She has premiered and recorded many new works and enjoys collaborating with musicians all over the world, to blend new and exciting fusions of sounds and styles.

She is also passionate about dance music, and combines techniques and riffs from an eclectic mix of genres with the latest grooves. She regularly performs in club venues, including Gatecrasher with Hed Kandi Live on New Years Eve.
