With a richly cultured background having grown up as an Indian in the hustling city of Hong Kong, Arun has been absorbing the influences of a concrete jungle surrounded by an unprecedented coastal nature, where the food is cooked to feed the heart with love and passion for living, but where the music has to be found on your own.

Arun has worked his way through most DJ booths in Hong Kong – but there are only a handful of places where he left his presence and memories of unforgettable nights. Those same places helped shape Arun’s musical scope and skills, and it wasn't until 4 years ago that he found his true calling in the realm of House music. Taking in global and cross-cultured influences, it was that ability to recognise the melange of sounds from around the world that formulated a concept of House music for him.

Known to create a live and vibrant atmosphere with his music, it doesn’t matter whether Arun plays at a club, lounge or open-air gig; he is always able to personify his musical presence with an audience, bringing out the essential groove in anyone.

From 2007 onwards, Arun started to travel around China performing at venues in Zhongshan, Jinan, Guangzhou, and Shanghai. An invitation to Elevate (India), voted 35th best club in the world by DJ Magazine, followed soon after. In 2009, Arun made three visits to Thailand for the Edition Festival w/ Sandy Rivera and Bodyrox, weekends at QBar and for the S3QUENCE Festival w/ Armin van Buuren.

He has graced the decks for Internationally recognised events like Soul Heaven, Hed Kandi, Ministry of Sound Sessions, Renaissance Digital Asia Tour, Bar Grooves and Funky 4 Love, and has had the opportunity to play alongside and support a variety of international DJs such as Paolo Mojo, Alex Botar (Diva La Disco), Dennis Christopher (Beatfreakz), Dylan Barnes (Mutiny), Andy Norman, Patrick Hagenaar, Lewis Boardman, Charles Schillings, Sandy Rivera, Bodyrox (Nick), Bopstar, Ko Kimura, ATFC¸ Andy Ward, StoneBridge, TIGA, Aaron Ross, Tiesto, Ben Sowton, Boy 8-Bit, James Lavelle, Riva Starr and Mark Farina. Arun has earned appraisal from some of the above names as ‘the perfect warm-up DJ’.

He has been invited to play at most key venues in the city, including internationally renowned Yumla, Zuma, M1NT, Drop, Solas, Volar, W Hotel, Home and the trendy Evisu Baru. Other events include performing for an Andy Warhol Exhibition, Svedka Vodka, 42 Below Vodka, Tequila Patron’s party and at the Asia World Expo Arena last summer.

2011 has a busy agenda lined up for Arun with new residencies, the opening of his own lounge, and a production schedule to keep up with for his forthcoming releases.
