Sheung Wan, Hong Kong - CLUB CHOW is the newest addition to Sheung Wan’s ever-developing restaurant scene. Located on the 9th Floor of The Pemberton, this natural, earthly-colored space is accompanied by with a wax seal symbolizing yin-yang, an ancient Chinese symbol for harmony. Sammi Chow, first-time restaurant owner who devised the concept, explains the idea behind CLUB CHOW.
“I have always been a foodie deeply rooted in traditional family values. By convincing my brother, who has had years of experience in western fine dining restaurants, to be the head chef of CLUB CHOW, I shaped the restaurant to accentuate my values of love, family and community through a classic western menu, with an Italian and French twist.
CLUB is a place of community. CHOW is slang for comfort food and my family name. These two concepts bring together my passion to promote community through food. CLUB CHOW strives to bring a little fun and escape to every day metropolitan life.”
To fully deliver the social experience, CLUB CHOW does not offer a-la-carte. Simon Chow, the head chef, brings his signature bold flavors and consummates the experience into a 5-course ensemble, or a unique Seasonal Sharing Menu for 4. Do expect to spend a few hours mingling with friends, socializing with the hostess, and enjoying these mouth-watering creations.
