The contemporary 60-seat restaurant, sibling to chef and owner Kong Wai Sing’s game-changing eatery Tipsy in Tai Hang, is dressed in marble, soft pastels, naked birch floors, with innovative lighting art and a private dining room that caters to 12.
With a location on Hoi Yuen Road and not far from APM shopping mall, Little Tipsy evolves through the day; at lunch, a set menu of balanced yet delectable dishes, curated in partnership with a local nutritionist, is complemented by the Nutritious Salad Bar, which is packed with flavour and freshness. Soft-launched discounted priced from HK$88, highlights of the Nutritious Salad Bar include a selection of cold cuts; potato salad with spring onion and bacon; quinoa salad with roasted cauliflower, carrot, feta and mixed herbs; and a Mediterranean-inspired salad of roasted zucchini, eggplant, bell peppers, okra and house-made pesto.
For something a little more substantial to help you fight through the day, the set lunch also includes add-on main options ranging from mushroom risotto with onsen egg and parmesan cheese; and spaghetti with clams; to pan-seared seabass with mashed potato; and slow-cooked striploin with roasted potato, and a fresh green salad.
Evolving with the passing of the hours, by dinner Little Tipsy has become a chic gastropub with modern European fare complemented by a wine list of new and old world labels. Set dinner menus are priced from HK$158 per person for two-course and coffee or tea, with starters ranging from smoked salmon, with roasted beetroot, orange, and balsamic gel; to sautéed squid, with potato, garlic, chilli, and Esplette pepper.
Follow this up with a main from the comfort-friendly menu, including crab risotto with asparagus, lemon zest, and spring onion; miso salmon with sautéed gnocchi and mushroom tea; and slow-cooked pork loin with sunchoke puree, and delicate egg pudding.
