Ideally located in the rising area of Sai Ying Pun, close to the new West Island line, French Creations launches, the first week of March, its new casual bistro: Metropolitain.
Being true to their global concept, Jérôme and Olivier have reproduced an authentic French atmosphere in the energetic Hong Kong.
The restaurant is conceived around the emblematic Parisian MTR. The facade is designed like an original entrance and the materials and the decoration have been selected to create the ambiance. Subtle design touches reflect the group’s spirit, to bring France in Asia.
The modern and inviting venue, that benefits for a four meters clearance, features 40 seats including 20 in a spacious terrace. The huge bar, the long sofa and the opened kitchen contribute to the conviviality. Every detail has been developed to make everyone feels home, like in each restaurant of the group.
Metropolitain is showcasing the true French home-cooking cuisine. In the mood to share or not, the menu has been steeped, by chef Frank Lebiez, in the French tradition, offering a real trip all around France, with among others, the delicious Onion Soup, the homemade Foie Gras, the refreshing Niçoise Salad, the traditional Boeuf Carotte, the very tender Skirt Steak, the essential Tartare, the feeling guilty Hot Camembert, the savoury Tarte Tatin, or the gourmet Banana Split.
Frank will suggest you, Tuesday to Friday, a set lunch and will concoct brunch on Saturday and Sunday. And for the client’s viewing, smelling and tasting senses, the restaurant is equipped with a rotisserie.
Metropolitain is open Tuesday to Sunday from 12:00nn to 11:00pm.
