Jimmy McGee is the grandson of a pirate king. Eleanor McGee would have been a Russian princess were it not for the Nazis. Rebecca is the daughter of a mad professor and an Italian nun. Graeme is a full blood gypsy...oftimes known as the Django of the bass.
Together they are The Bobby McGee’s and make the world's most interesting & inspiring indie pop.
Since forming in Brighton, UK in 2002 The Bobby McGee's have been NME's new favourite band, recorded a live session in John Peel's old studio at Radio 1 and been compared lyrically to Dostoyevsky by Everett True and John Lennon by Jarvis Cocker.
Working with the coolest record label in the world CHERRYADE (Run from a bedroom, in Manchester, by a blind girl) and After 2 hugely successful EP's, in 2009 they released their first full length album, L'Appropriation Bourgoisie De La Bobby McGee's, played five sets at Glastonbury, appeared in Dizzy Rascal’s latest video ‘Dirtee Cash’ and directed, filmed and stared in and their own all-singing all-dancing zombie musical.
The Bobby McGee’s ‘Forever and a Day’ was also used in a Channel 4 TV promo  for Film4.
Credited with single-handedly reviving twee pop (Los Campesinos ‘International Tweexcore Underground’ was written in their honour!) and inventing two new genres of music while setting a blazing new path for the ukulele players of the 21st century to follow, outrageous Commedia Dell’Arte makeup and costumes...They are very much looking forward to playing for you in Hong Kong

‘For girls who still love to play with their dressing up box!’
Dig For Victory! is the fledgling designer clothing label of Eleanor Callaghan, who specialises in making one-off retro-inspired dresses and jackets from vintage fabric - Curtains, tablecloths, napkins, bedspreads, 80’s sportswear - all are plucked from their respite in the charity shop and brought back to life as quirky and unique garments for girls who still love to play dress-up. From elegant harlequin dresses and classic prom frocks to cartoon print playsuits, Dig for Victory! Celebrates the history of fashion embodied in a wealth of vintage textiles.  Dig for Victory has had it’s first runway show at London Fashion Week and has been worn by fellow Brighton songstress, Natasha Khan of Bat for Lashes and Theoretical Girl.

Jane Blondel and Mike Mystery were told by a fortune teller to go to the Far East, but what she forgot to tell them there were no indie clubs! So Songs for Children began last year, and has grown a solid following with regular monthly club nights (with a solid “No Coldplay” guarantee) plus guest DJ sets at Indietracks Festival UK, Clockenflap Festival HK, Theoretical Girl live show, and the Street Music Series later this month. It was also given an honorary mention by Time Out for Best New Club of 2009. Songs for Children hope to bring some underground glamour to Hong Kong, and can think of few bands more glamorous, or underground than The Bobby McGee’s. Hong Kong - are you ready?
