Following Daniele Dalla Pola’s tropical tiki party last week, Red Sugar continues to shake things up with the second instalment of its Bartender Series. Hosted in partnership with Time Out Hong Kong, the upcoming event is helmed by Luke Whearty of Singapore’s Operation Dagger – a much-lauded venue that occupies a spot on the World’s 50 Best Bars list. Whearty will be guest-bartending at Red Sugar from June 15-16.
Guests will have a chance to try Whearty’s cocktails first-hand, including the exclusive Hong Kong Milk Tea Punch – which combines the flavours of lai cha, pineapple bun and rum – and the gin-based Oyster Ice Cream garnished with matcha sherbet and an oyster leaf. There will be a minimum $250 spend from 7pm onwards during Whearty’s residency. We recommend going straight for the food pairing menu, which includes three cocktails and three dishes for just $488 per person.
