DJ Kiyo as known as DJ Jumbo is an as-yet-unknown Hong Kong-based DJ hailing from Kyoto, Japan. Kiyo has mad knowledge of classic funk and soul sounds that easily mesh with what house party favorites will get the dance floor poppin’. His style is kickin’ old school jams with seamless scratch cuts and tight turntable skills that should please anyone searching for a high-energy, danceable jam. Kiyo had been spinning since 1999, stating his influences were not only from many of the overseas idols such as Cut Chemist, DJ Shadow, and DJ Format, but more so from the many local pioneers such as DJ Muro, Ulticut Ups!, Downwell 79's and many other underground talents from Japan. 2003, Kiyo connected with DJ / producer / label founder Bull Jun (Flat Rock Records, NYC), which later on gave him the opportunity to release his debut and now highly sought after mixtape named "Funky Code" as DJ Jumbo in 2005 - a true reflection of Kiyo’s passion towards classic hip-hop, funk, soul and heavyweight beats.
