Bloc Party – Intimacy
After their fist two albums, their third album is again, trying to push the boundaries of the brit-pop scene. An eclectic, but clearly Bloc Party flavour persists though the album. . Ares is a chaotic start, but as the songs progress with the signature sounds of angst chords and frustrated lyrics. “Halo” has a sound of the original rockier days of Bloc Party whereas “Trojan Horse” and “Ion squared” are tracks to dance to. Not an album to get out for a dinner party, but after a few listens the songs really start to stick.
