Conor Oberst – Coner Oberst
Most famously known as the singer/songwriter from “Bright Eyes”, Conor Oberst now journeys on a new adventure with his fourth solo album. Having travelled across America to record this album in Mexico, he uses folk rock to tell tales of mortality and mourning. Hailed as the new Bob Dylan, this album is getting closer to the real thing. “Get well cards” is a tale of love and loss and “I don’t want to die (in hospital)” sings of the tedium being stuck in a sick bed and wanting “help to get his boots back on" to go outside…where it is presumably sunny. A clearly talented musician, this album may be the turning point into a new phase in his career since he started at the tender age of thirteen.
