some of the best mc's i've heard (mc duh, flipside, etc) are white..

Not a chance I don't go! loads of my mates will be going down there as well. As far as I remember, I always have a great time with DnB mainly becos the crowd into it are always down to earth and throw themself onto the floor with no reservation. And this one with the best producer and DJ, you simply can't give it a miss!

as a matter of fact.... it was a bit of a disappointment... Red label seems to do better in fact.... nonetheless, we did have a good time...

the rented sound system failed... as a result, marcus was struggling with his set..

cat, email us we will give you a discount for the next event (possibly juju and someone else from CARTEL records, or DJ Zinc, in the summer).. phreaktion gigs had been very reliable and successful (dj marky & stamina mc last year for instance), hopefully you won't be put off by this one.

I heard same issues with DJ Godfather nite. I must say, sometimes it really all depends on the DJ and MC's performace on that particular nite, my understanding is, the DJ and MC didn't get enuf sleep beforehand, in the addition to the sound system, these are obviously beyond the organizers' control. I appreciate the effort the organizers have put into, and thumbs up for the venue. but really Macus Intralex was a bit overrated judging by Sat nite's performance. however, I'll always have massive respect to the organizers who really have tried all they can to bring the best. My hope is Phreaktion will consider to have a set with the Mash Up crew (who was the first organizer for a regular DnB nite). Pls let me know if ur interested.

marcus did an amazing set in shanghai a night before... he *is* truly a great dj/producer... it was a pity that all things didn't go right on saturday so.....

mash up doesn't exist anymore... only person left is james (dj arkham) doing red label at yumla.. cat, why don't u email phreaktion with your ideas?

Jame is the second generation DJ for Mash Up (but he's alright), I know 3 of the first generation Mash Up DJs still in HK, they haven't played as much, but I am still in touch with them. Accendentally, I still have a Mash Up recording from years ago with me. If you're interested, please let me know and I can upload them on the web or send you over.....
