Jenny Lewis ? Acid Tongue
A folksy album with sweet melodies and lyrics: an album you can easily listen to on a lazy sunny Sunday afternoon at home relaxing and pondering on the world.? It opens with Black Sand which, for me, doesn?t set the scene for the rest of the album.? There is a melancholic distance in her voice which lifts you away with your thoughts.? Carpetbaggers and Fernando are a bit more upbeat, but her better songs are slower and more poignant.? Godspeed, Tryin? my best and Sing a Song are ones to listen to.
