well... tiesto started with quite a bit of techno, sasha and digweed were known for the earlier form of progressive trance... etc etc no djs are playing what they started off with. djs progress as the music progresses. i don't see anything wrong with that. as long as they play good music and thats fine. the only person who got worse imo is mauro picotto. he plays too much house sometimes...

Unless you have heard Lisa's new sound then dont judge to quickly because she also incorporates a lot of hard house as well. But at least she came out with a good compilation album 'Lashed in the UK'. Great track selection.

oh an btw. Lisa's agent emailed me and is trying to find more info on this supposed event. :smt003

Djs or at least the good ones are like painters, they go thru phases.
Picasso went thru the cubist phase to the pink and blue phase and loads of others so, it is not uncomman that djs do the same.

any real clubber would bypass the slinky event to see lisa lashes i think. Last two times she was supposed to come to hk (prolly round 1998) she cancelled last minute or it fell through for some reason. Why is there no more info on this event btw??

I decided to write and email straight to Lisa Lashes agent to see what was what, this was there reply:

Fri 19 May: ClubBanana Beijing China - Lashed Hard Dance session
Sat 20 May: Yellow Music Studio Shenzhen China - Lashed Breakbeat
session

So it seems that unless she is doing an event the next day, from which I doubt since the agent would have mentioned it on the email, it seems to me HK has been sodomized by Shenzhen again.... :smt013
