MAY MOVIES

Postby Guest » 01-05-2005 05:58 PM

As the month starts off, I watched

William Shakespeare's "Merchant of Venice"

Staring Jeremy Irons, Al Pacino and various uk big names for tv series such as "the office" and "my family".
The sets were amazing, the acting was spot on with great dialogue including various funny gags.
The garnments were delicate and detailful.
Top-notch movie.
I would avise any person to view this great film.
All in all good fun.

I was ideally using this thread so people would use it as an area to write up a small review... but as long as you write up a small one on Epi: 3 its all good. Personally, I m predicted to view the film 3 times on the first weekend.

One: solo for marks
Two: With family & friends
Three: Final touches and see what I missed out.

The Life Aquatic

Postby Seeker » 05-05-2005 03:57 PM

I saw The Life Aquatic with Bill Murray, Jeff Goldblum,
Cate Blanchett, Owen Wilson and Angelica Houston.
Same director as The Royal Tenenbaums. Similar
quirky darkly humourous style. LOVED IT.

Poking fun at Jacques Cousteau with many obvious
references to his life and work, The Life Aquatic stars
Bill Murray in a role that no one could pull off like he
does. Full of visual artistry and dark sarcasm, this
movie is for those who like the offbeat.

Kingdom

Postby Guest » 12-05-2005 12:33 AM

Well, I went to see Kingdom of heaven this afternoon at the cinema beside Time square what a pile of wan=k tha cinema is indeed...

Link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0320661/

and: http://www.kingdomofheavenmovie.com/

It was okay nothing as epic as gladiator, if you know anything about this movie you ll know edward norton is somewhere in the movie...
Women would detest this movie if it wasnt for Bloom's mediocre performance... Jeromy Irons did a good part and there were a few other half decent british actors in it.
It s okay.... Might watch it again if there is a special edition dvd in the near future...

JOHN Q

Postby Guest » 15-05-2005 07:50 PM

Well, John Q staring Denzel Washington and Robert Duvall. It sure isnt a brand-new movie but it was something I had not watched before.
Story-wise it is about not having health insurance in america. Yes the storyline is that simple.
Oh well, it was fun for an hour a bit. I would deffinately not advise anyone to watch it since it was super boring.
