Music piracy ethics behind it.

We all know that piracy has ran amok around via the world using technology such as napster, bitorrent, file sharing and p2p.
We know also that it is a crime in most countries to download copyright material or share it.
But thru personal experience, I have come to buy more cds with the increase of access to artists music via the web thru many methods of obtaining music.
We also know as a fact that the music industry is making billions maybe even trillions of US dollars on the average joe, but they insist on sueing 10 years old girls and stuff of the kind. Dont get me wrong, I am not saying that this is not a crime or should it even be pushed.

Do others feel the same, that music just be more ready available to the masses and that the massive mark-up on cds should be far smaller? Maybe it would be possible to make money on live acts or limited material?

Before i used to use Kazaa and soulseek to get my live sets and latest singles. I still buy cd's from my fav artists like lashes, tiesto, armin etc. But now that i have ordered my cdj's i have decided to pay for downloads meaning that i can get the newest ones for only around a pound each, and reduce the risk of getting viruses. But i still d/l the occasional liveset and Armins weekly radio show :smt005

I just download mixes which are legal. I don't really have the time to search or buy individual tracks.

For albums I arrange copies from all of the record companies directly and then sort out a review.
