New to Hongkong, what Clubs to look for?

Postby hkchia » 23-02-2007 06:55 PM

Hello. I am going for a 5 day stay in Hong Kong, starting next tuesday. I was wondering what clubs to visit to get the best possible experience.

I prefer house/funk/disco and if I am to be extremely spesific I love to have some space, and lasers and strobes makes me smile :^^:

As a new foreigner I don't have the luxury of special entries anywhere, so that will have to be accounted for.

(if you know any spesific dates I should be at a spesific club, that is of course extra helpful)

Thank you very much, and I look forward to hearing and feeling what HK has to offer! =)

for that kind of music, FINDS, Drop and Dragon-I are good, but no special lighting. Bob sinclar and gregory will be at dragon-i next month HK$150 and HK$300 to get in.

Thanks.

When I am going I might as well pester you with a few more questions...
  • Where is "FINDS"? I didn't find any note about it in the forums or the site-map.
  • When do people tend to go out in HongKong? I have no spesific preference, but i hate to que, so I might as well go out early.
  • Are there some special club-customs that I should be aware of (not taking photos, or something akin to that)?
  • What is the regular pricing on HK clubs? Or is it in the 150-300 range at all times?
  • I heard I Dragon was sort of a celeb-"see me" place. That sounds rather stiff to me. What music does this place play? The whole "see me" thingie doesn't fit at all with what I am used to from the house-scene. Is this just me lacking experience, or something I have missunderstod?

Thanks a lot for all sort of help. I am looking forward to move to 130+ bpm. :handy:

130+ bpm eh?? Why not some psytrance tunes?? hehehe!!! :D

Come down this thursday night (1st march) at SIN BAR, located in Wanchai (www.thesinbar.com) for some killllaaaaarggghhh psy tunes to candy feed your brains!! ;) Its free for all, but gents would have to pay HKD100 if you enter after midnight. Stopy by for a drink as all standard drinks that night would be at HKD40!!

A new concept in town, seems interesting for the wanderers!!

Enjoy your stay & keep well!!

Cheers!
