party on the great wall?

has anyone ever been? your opinions? i read an article in mixer magazine about it. (march 2002 issue) they mention the china pump factory and the cheese group as the production crews that put it on. it seems like an amazing experience. i bet the music leaves something to be desired, but imagine a rave on the great wall of china. . .gawd that sounds beautiful.
does anyone know when it happens? and where i can find out more info?

word, so i emailed the guy that wrote the article. . .he said that he wasn't sure whether it was a regular/annual thing, gave me a reference to punk rock contact (?) and told me to try them. . .anyways, from the little research i've done, it seems like it started in 2000, and another event in 2001. . .both were early summer events (June or July). . .the bar/clubs in Beijing were passing out flyers a little before then. . .they pay off local authorities and kind of fence in a little area/spot on the wall. . . both parties went well beyond dawn and had an eclectic mix of music (punk rock?! oh yeah and some house :lol:

) though it seems to be an event geared towards foreigners/tourists. . .

still, ish tight and i'm going to do what i can to find out more

Think thers also a CD from oakey, not sure if its the mix, but it has soemthing to do with great wall...long time ago tho.

was at there since they were filming kill bill at the time.
i remember reading an interview with him and he talked
about what a massive crazy party it was. oakenfold's cd
is called the great wall or something like that. some decent
tracks on it including as the rush comes.
