Prima Donna live in Hong Kong

Grammy Award-winning American rock trio, Green Day who appear for the first time ever in Hong Kong on January 16th at the AsiaWorld Arena, will feature a guest support act, rock n roll band from Los Angeles sensation, Prima Donna.

Prima Donna, who support for Green Day on their upcoming UK/Euro tour, proved so popular with the American band that they have been invited back to open the concerts in both Hong Kong and Singapore on the forthcoming Asian tour.
Formed in 2003, Prima Donna is a rock n roll band from Los Angeles featuring singer/guitarist Kevin Preston (formerly of The Skulls), Saxophonist/Keyboardist Aaron Minton, drummer David S. Field, bassist Dan Nyby and guitarist Erik Arcane.
Their sound features saxophone, piano and organ, along with a guitar sound which has been described as "the best damn glam punk rock 'n' roll ... Prima Donna goes for that timeless Dolls/Heartbreakers/Mott the Hoople sound and they pull it off perfectly".
In the fall of 2007, Prima Donna featured a new track from their upcoming release entitled "Soul Stripper". It can be heard on the band's Myspace.




As of May 2008, Kevin Preston is also playing guitar in the Green Day side project Foxboro Hot Tubs.

In 2009, Prima Donna supported Green Day throughout its European leg of the 21st Century Breakdown World Tour. They were the opening act for Green Day in Oslo, Belfast, Dublin, Glasgow, Birmingham, London and Manchester, among others.
