DJ Godfather



DJ Godfather out of Detroit is the first Ghetto Tech DJ/Label Manager to have fused Turntablism with the Ghetto Tech sound. The Godfather Chronicles" is a DJ mix + DVD project that combines the spirit of his wild radio mix shows in Detroit. DJ Godfather mix tapes have sold 3000-4000 units in Detroit alone. In addition to his role as a mind blowing DJ unwilling to stick with the conventional techniques, Godfather releases a substantial canon of works on his Twilight 76 and Database labels of which he manages. DJ Godfather remixes Fatboy Slim's "Star 69" in 2002 on the label Skint. DJ Godfather's DJ mixes weekly on WJLB 97.9 and DRQ 93.1, two premier mainstream music radio station in Detroit. His DJ mixes on both WJLB and DRQ shows are much sought after worldwide. Now for the first time his mind-boggling scratching skills on tracks over 160bpm can be witnessed. A DJ mix mixed live at the "Shelter" in downtown Detroit (Infamous for Eminem's early battle rap days, and featured in the film "8 Mile.")
