The performer, Maxmilian Hecker, is a singer/songwriter from Germany and is well-known for his melancholic yet beautiful chamber pop songs. His albums are highly praised by the media. Since 2003, Hecker has performed hundreds of live shows in different parts of the world including Hong Kong. Having been sponsored by the Goethe Institute in 2003 and 2004, Hecker began his grand tour to Europe, South America, Asia and even South Africa. He acted as the music and cultural ambassador of Germany to let people perceive the new Germany. The grand tour earned him a huge fan base in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and Mainland China.

For the past few years, Hecker toured Taiwan and China several times and he became famous amid Asian indie music scene.

In 2008, CityU band soc is fortunate enough to organize live music gig for Hecker. It is really a rare chance to have him here to perform again for his large group of fans and music lovers in Hong Kong.

The venue of the show will be a formal theatre instead of pub and bar in which Hecker used to perform a lot. Audio equipment, big stage, good view of the stage and comfortable seats are big advantages of this venue.

In order to let more and more people to access, Band Soc has prepared a discount for the first 50 tickets (early bird tix) of the show. And after the performance there will be a signing session for fans. Please do not miss this precious chance! The price of the show is really reasonable since we want more and more people can attend to this amazing show!

All the profit will go to Band Soc and this allow us to organize many other shows for local bands to perform.
