US trance star Christopher Lawrence chatted to Skrufff this week about his most enthusiastic fans and revealed that Myspace has brought him even more unusual fans.

The nowadays Melbourne based DJ said an American ‘psycho jail fan’ who used to write to him ‘about all the ways he can kill someone’ has dropped off the radar (‘I think his packages are getting stopped by customs’) though has been replaced by more unusual fans through Myspace.

“MySpace seems to be a breeding ground for nut jobs. Everyone looks so good in their photos but then they start writing freaky sh*t to a stranger,” he complained.

“I mean, they really don’t know me but they get super personal and say things that just shouldn’t be said. It can be quite disturbing. Instead of having the photos of your top friends on MySpace, there should be a section called ‘Beware’ with the photos of the most dangerous characters,” he laughed.

His comments came as true crime writer Jimmy Lee Shreeve described chatting to a UK based cannibal, who told Shreeve that many fellow human flesh eaters are enthusiastic social networkers.

"He told me that cannibals are eyeing people up on MySpace and Facebook with a view to eating them,” the writer revealed in a preview of his new book Cannibals.

“You wouldn't recognise them for what they were if they lived next door to you. My fear is that one day they might single someone out from MySpace or Facebook, track them down, and do an Armin Meiwes on them,” he warned. (OpenPR.com)

Details of his new book emerged weeks after media mogul Ted Turner predicted that global warming and population growth could lead to a worldwide explosion in cannibalism as crops fail.

“We'll be 8 degrees hotter in 30 or 40 years and basically none of the crops will grow," the CNN founder said speaking on TV show Charlie Rose, “ Most of the people will have died and the rest of us will be cannibals. Civilization will have broken down,” he predicted.
