The team that brought you Hed Kandi, Funky4love™ and Ministry of Sound events are now hosting regular nights of ‘PureHouse’ at The Attic, top floor Beijing Club.  Starting on the 9th of May, ‘PureHouse’ will be showcasing the very best of house music.  Every Friday, The Attic will transform into a heaven of house music and will feature the raw talent of house DJs who have brought together their global experiences. Once every 4-6 weeks, PureHouse will feature various elements of flavour to compliment the music element.  The idea was forged around the concept of using different senses to heighten the music experience.  The first taste sensation to be featured will be Strawberries & Cream, and is set to take place on May 30th 2008.PureHouse ScheduleDate Artist/Act Music

About the musicThere are no venues in Hong Kong that are dedicated to fulfilling the aural desires of house music fans, especially in the heart of Hong Kong’s nightlife arena.  Pure House has been setup with such an agenda, and aims to deliver quality music, through a medium of high caliber DJs; all the performing DJs are signed and managed by EA Management, a division of Entertaining Asia.With the Electronic Dance Music scene being ever-evolving, it is essential to have DJs that are both knowledgeable as well as motivated by their passion for the music.  Expect to hear sets that encompass the most upfront, classic and cutting edge house music, where boundaries are made only to be broken.DJ RomiRomi has been spinning a variety of music since 1999.  His style has gradually developed into what can only be called funky and groovy!  His live sets echo sounds of both chilled and funky beats, while still being able to take his audience through deep and dark journeys of electro progressions.  He has built up a following of party-goers who crave for his sounds and follow him from bar to bar all around Central, the main area for partying in Hong Kong!Hailing from Delhi, India, he has gained most of his experience from spinning at the hottest clubs and venues throughout the sub-continent.You can catch Romi during his busy gig schedule playing at Club JJs (Grand Hyatt – Friday Resident), FINDS, Gecko, Aqua Spirit, Buddha Lounge, Linq, Solas, Tribeca, California, Tru, Heat, Yumla, The Priory, HOT Disco, Le Rideau and more.When not at the bars and clubs in town, Romi’s week is filled with private and corporate events, and travels for gigs in India, Canada, Bangkok, China, Bali, Macau, Singapore.
 
JayJayJayJay started his DJ career in 1999 after being a dedicated clubber and music lover for numerous years. Relentless practicing and fine tuning his turntable skills took him from his first shows in the UK, to breaking into the Asian and International DJ scene.
Since moving to Hong Kong he has toured China from top to bottom bringing his own flavour of house, electro and breaks.  His sound fuses funky electro, tech house, deep house and breakbeat, underpinned by a phat bass line.

Over the years he has supported international DJs such as Scott Bond, Ricky Stone, Eva, Rogue Element, Splitloop, Def Inc., Nat Monday, Super Style Deluxe and Myagi to name a few.  With his passion for music, atmosphere and creating memorable nights Jay launched Eternal DJ Agency in 2005 (www.eternal-djs.com).  Since this time he has promoted events for USA and UK based DJs in Hong Kong and mainland China.  With dedication to dance music, strong International Agency/DJ connections and industry support, JayJay aims to keep the Asian dance scene at the forefront.

DJ Arun RArun has only been on the DJ circuit for a bit less than 2 years now.  His style has developed into what has become a fresh sound for House music that is currently highly sought after by clubs and venues in Hong Kong.  The niche factor is his varied and unique taste of music that influences his live sets – he is able to take a crowd through a journey of afro/latin-funk rhythms up to a peak of eclectic and melodic progressions, accompanied by jackin’ beats and basslines.2007 turned out to be very fulfilling: alongside his day job as Events Manager for Entertaining Asia Ltd, he performed at several Hed Kandi and Ministry of Sound events, and closed the year with 3 weekly and 2 monthly residencies.  An invitation to play at Elevate (India – Voted 35th Best Club in the World by DJ Mag) got him in the mood to travel and started played regularly in China (Jinan, Zhongshan and Guangzhou).He has graced the decks for prestigious events like Hed Kandi, Ministry of Sound Sessions, and Renaissance Digital Asia Tour and Funky 4 Love, and has the opportunity to play alongside international DJs such as Paulo Mojo, Alex Botar (Diva La Disco), Andy Warburton, Luke Neville, Dennis Christopher (Beatfreakz), Dylan Barnes (Mutiny), Andy Norman, Patrick Hagenaar, and the world famous Tiesto.  Arun has earned appraisal from some of the above names as ‘the perfect warm-up DJ’.He has been invited to play at most key venues in the city, including internationally renowned M1NT, HK’s biggest club - Beijing Club, Drop, Solas, Volar, and the trendy Evisu Baru.  2008 promises to be even busier in Hong Kong – with several major events lined up for the year and new residencies both in the city and overseas.Current and Recent Residencies in Hong Kong: Finds, Aqua Spirit, Gecko Lounge, Tribeca (Front Room), Beijing Club
May AcunaMay arrived in Hong Kong back in 1998 to work as resident DJ of Dusk Till Dawn bar and also played at Insomnia. After deciding to take another step forward, she jumped ship and became Entertainment Manager and resident DJ at Edge, the biggest live music venue in Central, in 2002.Interested in spinning and its mysteries, she started out in 1995 and has played in various bars/clubs in the Philippines before coming to Hong Kong. She has played at Chapter Three, Club 97 for their Diva Nights, Glide & Swerve’s Denim Party in 2002 and House of Sirens Aids Concern/Viva Glam Party in 2003, and has played at different venues such as Red, Lost, Soda, and MO Bar at Mandarin Oriental Landmark. You can catch her playing at Gecko, Solas, Le Rideau and FINDS. She has also played at various clubs all over China. DJ May plays electro, funky and percussive house. Her DJ heroes are David Morales, Miguel Migs, Raul Rincon, Mark Knight, and Danny Tenaglia.Current Residencies include FINDS, Arigato and Gecko Lounge.
