|
|
CALLING ALL NATIONS is a celebration of music from Gung-Ho! Not only is it showcasing the last 2 years worth of outstanding releases from the burgeoning label, but it’s also giving you some upfront tracks for your listening joy.
With2 x cd DJ friendly unmixed package and a stable of producers from Iceland to South Africa, Ireland to New Zealand , and Cleethorps to Carlisle this LP has some very international breeding
5 artist albums are in the Pipeline for Gung-Ho! and some exclusives are leaked here early, namely Greg Churchills ‘Clown Punch’ (from his forthcoming artist album – ‘Play it Loud’), Zoo Brazil’s ‘Anakonda’, Japanese Popstars ‘Delboys Revenge’ and the soon to be on everyone’s lip’s ‘Find Your Way’ by Luke Walker. The cd ends with a beautiful production called ‘Friday’ by new German artist, Florian Filsinger.
Hot tip! Keep an eye on the Japanese Popstars; they are 3 live wires hailing from Derry, Ireland and their not to be missed debut artist album is forthcoming soon on Gung-Ho!
Essential additions to anyone’s collection are in the form of last year’s Lil Devious smash ‘You Control Me’, complete with the Joy Division-esque vocal.
As well as Sean Danke & Snheizer Goodman’s eerie groover ‘Sin’s in the Dark’, Zoo Brazil’s ‘Back to Back’ and no Gung-Ho! release would be complete without Icelanders GusGus contributing - so ‘Need in me’ is included with President Bongo on remix duty.
