1. Where do you usually play in the UK, and what's your favourite venue – and why?
I dont play in the UK as much as I'd like to, I mainly play abroad in Europe and the rest of the world but I have played in most of the major towns and cities in the UK. The Volks in Brighton is one of my fav places to play in UK. It has a great sound system and the vibe is always really good.
Also Herbal in London. It's a small venue, but when it goes off, it goes off! We just had our J-tek Records launch party there and it was off the hook.
2. Have you played Hong Kong before? If so, where did you play and what was it like?
No, never played in Hong Kong before, but I'm really looking forward to it. I have heard good things.
3. What and where is the best gig you've ever played – and why?
The Berlin Love Parade is definitely one of them, nearly one million people. It was epic!
4. Who's your biggest influence in music – and outside music – and why?
In music, Amit is a big influence for me, he's a good friend. I respect and love his work and work ethics. I have learnt a lot from him.
Outside of music, anyone that has goals and a passion in life and tries their hardest to make them happen has an influence on me. I get driven by others' motivation.
5. If you weren't a DJ, what would you be doing now?
I would probably be working in sales. Or in prison :-p
6. How's Whisper Audio (a DJ-vocal collaboration with female vocalist Kirsty Hawkshaw) going? You done any gigs with them recently or have you got any coming up?
Whisper is going OK. Like anything new, it takes a lot of hard work to break it in. We haven't done any live gigs yet, but it's early days. I am running another two labels alongside Whisper – Backlash Records and J-tek Records, so I'm trying to get the right balance and spread my efforts equally across all three projects.
