You can already tell how much they care about this event. The person who started this thread, someone who I used to know and worked with, somewhat, is lacking the dedication to even reply some of the messages here. And since I am unwanted in this leet crew ne more, I am going to join the fellow forumates here, and provide these ppl some constructive sugguestions.
It never hurt to have one extra resource on promoting, unless of coz they are so firmly sure that the room will be packed out on the night, but do realize that hkc forum might not be frequently posted, but many do come and read whats happening on a daily bases. Start selling tickets in advance, try to reply a little more on this thread, or else why would you bother putting it up. This is a "FORUM" - be more interactive. And for most, try to listen to what others have to say, and if possible, exchange ideas instead of sh*t-talkin behind someones back and ditch out members without a decent notice.
Having said that, I believe the crew probably have their own strategy worked out already.
All the best ppl.

I recalled the first eva event , the posts went up to nearly a 100, or even more, and so it did turn out to be an awesome party. Indeed, a good night can't happen with just the forums aid, but i am sure it contributes quite a portion to the sucess of that very night. so what is with the laid-back attitude now?

well. the more the merrier does not apply here. the djs in td dont get paid. their only reward is their own set times. why would they want someone else to share their set time? they want to play as long as possible (maybe except for 1-2 member whos more on the organization side). those who dj, and ONLY dj in td probably only care about their set times anyway.
No sh~it!!! :smt005 I know the event is for not a charity do. And everybody gets their fair cut but if I remeber correctely the last event closed earlier than usual did it not. So if there was an extra dj, more "fans" would come for sure... BTW its not as if the money would be unfairly cut anyway.
Everything Cl8on said
How do you build a sand castle? buy lifting your butt up, getting the bucket, getting the spade and the sand and then you put the hard work into it so others can see your sand castle.... Meaning you have to do the hard-work to make it worthwhile to tell people "come spend your money with us tonight because we are good fun"
Up to you really

We don't care? I lack dedication?
The members of TranceDesire know how dedicated and hardworking I am...even you do. The reason why I don't reply is I don't want to waste time dealing with people like you....it's really not worth it. By the way, who are you to judge me on how dedicated I am?
Let me ask you. What and how much have you contributed to TranceDesire since day one? Absolutely nothing. The main reason you want to be a part of us is so you can play in clubs. In fact, that's all you have done in the past. Show up right before your set and leave right after. Last time you even stopped playing in the middle of your set and left the club because there were not enough people on the dance floor. How embarrassing and unprofessional is that? TranceDesire cannot afford to let that happen again. Please remember we are not a DJ booking agency, you have to work for things and earn them.
You mentioned the sh*t talking we do behind your back. Well to be honest, we have talked nothing about you at our meetings...may be that refects how unimportant you are to us.
Clayton, you are a good DJ but clearly you have an attitude problem. You treat our DJs with no respect at all. We feel uncomfortable working with someone who is arrogant, rude and selfish regardless of how good they might be as dj. TranceDesire wants your music, but not your attitude.

Come on kiddies dont let this become a flaming match and pissing contest. It seems that TD doesnt want Clayton and Clayton has his own personal differences. But one thing I dont get is why you preston, wasted a post with those comments and you could have told the other forumites what we could be expecting of the new event?
Any dramatic improvements? Care to provide a dj timetable all of those small things... come on lad get moving!!! :smt002

Preston, you definitely have your points, and I respect them entirely; but from what I know (and please correct me if I'm wrong, not trying to jump to conclusions here), all his attempts to get hold of the TD crew were entirely ignored. You should like a reasonable person, so don't you think Clayton deserved, at the very least, to hear this from you personally, instead of cutting off all forms of communication with him, and expecting him to just drift off on his own?
Please understand that I'm not trying to patronize you or any of the TD members here because I'm sure you're all respectable people, but I am a good friend of Clayton's; and you said it yourself- he's a good DJ. You could definitely use him in TD. All this sounds like one big communication problem, and can't be that hard to rectify. So why not talk things through, sort these petty obstacles out and welcome him back to the crew?

Essentially its p to the organisers of this event to handle the dj's playing, set times etc so backing a dj on this site alone isnt really gonna change things. The 'incident' that happened in the past party or whatever didnt really need to be posted on this site also, if the two people involved want to b@@@ and moan about the past then pick up your phones and dial eachother.
Personally from what i have heard of these past event they hardly live up to their full potential so just post useful tips and adivce b4 this thread is shut down as well

just out of curiosity, if any of the dj's who will be playing post on this site could you provide a rough tracklist from your most recent set, just so i can get an idea of the type of trance that will hopefull yb eplayed. The only thign stopping me going is the fact that i dont want to hear old tunes that i could listen to on my ipod. Having nvr heard of these dj's before its hard to get a feel of what they play. thanks

As much as i want to shut up about this, i feel like i am being accused for things that i didnt do.
Preston, you can be qutie smart with words but if you are bright enuf , dun just reveal the tiny portion of the facts, it makes me look bad and u need to be so low to do that. shame.
First thing, I contributed nothing to TD. In terms of organizeing , u can say that. But note please be honest here, I am OVERSEA, what I can do is VERY limited, logical ? plus, the first day TD started, by Boon, me you and couple others, the days when jensen and janno wasnt even part of this whole thing, I was , and still am, an 18 years old kid, thus I couldnt not afford to chip in for deposit, and YOU are perfectly aware of that, and thus Boon paid for my share and my job thus became in your eyes, "just to spin". That was the first event. The second time, how I didnt contributed? well I did what could, I was helping out on the ticket on that very night while you are playing. I feel sry for you not knowing of that fact.
About how i show up just an before my set? Sry, you can ask anyone, I am also there from the start, to set thigns up with each other, I dunno why are u trying to sound me like so.
And this, really tick me off, I might be young but that gives you no right to flame me about me cutting the music. It disappoints me how you can just turn the story into this. I spun for 30 mins, and the floor was empty by around 3, I consulted with you AND jensen, possibly nik aswell that I was thinking of stopping and call it the night and I am SURE that you confirmed with my decision.
I never intend to get back at you about this since this IS a public forum, but you just dunno the limit and start twisting sh*t in your disgusting fashion. I might have contributed less than you did, but at least I realli did try. It is not my fault that you only reply when i publically confronted you. I wrote you tons of email, gave you many calls and msn messages, yet, NONE, not one of them was replied, I was completly ignored. You like to think of yourself being professional by doing that , be my guest, you are one sad fxxk thats all.
I honestly wouldnt mind, had you tell me that my presense in TD is no longer needed , since TD had realli changed, even the founder is long gone. But you just didnt have the guts to tell me directly, it shows some personal traits of yours, doesnt it? Or you just "can't be bother to waste time dealing with people like my kind", well, I didnt kno you are that high up there sry.
And if you want to argue about this anymore, do it somewhere else, but i guess facing someone directly isnt your style eh.
