i kno there is a venue section but just wanted some feedback..
firstly, Nu and edge

how are these two places, meaning the crowd, how easy it is to get in, pricing and capacity

also, are most parties in hk standing bar? or is table service getting big? dunno bout hk but i been to a few other countries n it seems the table service thing is gettin big.. but it doesnt seem like they pop grey goose n cristal at tables in hk.. to wot i remember, but that was way back then so.. haha

i think hkclubbing is slowly becoming liek this website... seriously everyone here just checks this and other sites similar to it. so easy to promote your parties that way... hkclubbing shoul dhave more promo events, and attend other peoples parties like www.joonbug.com and take fotos

Edge is a rather nice venue and it is not more than 100ish to get thru the door. The crowd there keeps to themselves and do not like pictures taken from anyone else other than their little "hommies".

In hong kong people love their little table since they are also so f***ing territorial bust be a height thing but you have access to the bar rather easily and they have all the minions (waiters) running around and getting in the way and asking you for drinks that is rather annoying..
The thing with tables is status crap really.

Hkclubbing is moving as fast as the scene is moving, like a slow poke. Promos... yeah Ladies night and thats it, I ve seen no venue to catter for students and other genres of music other than hip-hop/rap/r&b and the ocassional house music and the really rare so called trance events.

Like I said before a big no-no with the pixs without authorization and the community would rather be selfish and self-centred... Pointing out web-pages is rather pointless since people just love to recieve a pad on the back here and compliments since they are doing such an amazing job....

we doi take photos and develop a comunity site, unfortunately most venues in Hong Kong are useless in promotion and working with people like us to draw business to their venues. Currently we are only working closely with 2 of them and they are filling up fast already.

Nu has 2 stories with the top one the bar and chill out area and the basement the dance floor and some seats. Quite comfy but could get very crowded after 12, especially during summertime, where you will find lots of uni students. The have mostly local DJs playing a variety of music. Best to check it out yourself but they do charge an entry fee on the weekends. Drinks are okay and the best thing about the entry is that you can use the drink ticket to get nearly anything from the bar, including things like Long Island.

me i prefer thes eplaces where its $200 to get in, jam packed with 21 - 28 yr olds, all races table service
no jeans, sneakers, tims or hat, nice clean professional look with lots of hot girls sweating

here we get.. exotic dancers (i will refrain from calling them strippers as i have befriended some and its kinda degrading..) but we get exotic dancers to be dancing in cages or just up in various locations through out the club. we at first worried the ladies would not like it and discourage them from coming but it seems to be working
it filters the freaks to just stare at the dancers and a lot of girls love to make out with them and get freak ywith them too
but that is US.. how u think it would work in conservative asia?

Genre: Psy-trance (a rave a proper one)

Location: Alexandria Palace/ Chapada do Viadeiros

Crowd: No ass-holes, non-music lovers, no gang members, no snobs... well the list could go on forever and most importantely no guestlist because that is rather arrogant.

Well, you get that stuff over here but glamour isnt as refined thats all. But yeah "meat-markets" are available here so rather that a whore house be called a whore-house it will just be a venue for of charging hookers...

Dont get me wrong, I m pro-choice but sometimes people arent mature enough to grasp the concept that it is still a form of prostituion no matter how you package it.

It is a pompus and arrogant method of thought specially since the richest (or of the richest men on earth) Bill gates "dresses" really badly. Why? Because he can and he has the knowledge he could buy you out anytime.
I agree that sometimes trainers are not the idea of footwear but it is rather hypocritical to b`itch about clothes if you are blantantely trying to get around prostitution laws.
What the most pathetic thing is, is that jeans are a working man's clothes and then the rich people go on to it.
Personally, I prefer trainers and jeans because you never know there might be a full-scale riot, but since most clubs and many people that go to clubs look down on you, I have been forced to reform my way for now...
