partly true. but a truely amazing dj guides the crowd's music taste not the other way round. its good to be able to read the crowd well and know when to play what but it's more important to have your own unique style and not simply play what people want to hear.
Reading taste trends is always a b@@@ to do and getting the crowd hyped up is so hard with a sedate crowd... Then again one will never know if one never tries...
Not gifted? well u never know until u try and i believe nothign is impossible, it depands on how determined u are.
Psy trance uplifty trance prog trance.. u kno just call it EDM... i believe in flexibility and creativity more than following a rule book of how to play what type of music. Fundemantals are crucial but not everything.
One does not think of being gifted or not when one has it, one just does what comes naturally to them. Without rules or a well formed structure one's work becomes messy and chaotic... trust me I know... I lose work and time; all the time of lack of organzation... All I say is let the so-called pro does their thing and then the crowds will thumb them up or down.

Check out recent sets from John '00' Fleming on Ministry of Sound Radio for his monthly radio showed called "Global Trance Grooves"

He's been spinning lots of psy lately due to the fact he can't find much real trance around at the moment..
As for what I do, I work with computers doing computery stuff in an office. I don't mind it as it gives me something to do and provides the cash for trance events and various other social activities :smt003

Played at Alexandria palace and I wanted to cry for how sh*t he was. I even gave the guy filming his set a piece of my mind....
(To all the f-u-c-king a-holes that have a go on the grounds he works really hard bla bla bla... I am voicing my opinion on the guys work not him.....) :smt013

He usually gets the crowd really worked up and is one of the best dj's in terms in track selection and mixing...
