get up-->work-->lunch-->work-->home
some ppl dont even like partying or anything else, they repeat day by day.. ain't it such a sterotype city?

I have noticed and I think it is f[ucking tragic that a nation spoilt with choice of locations to party doesnt know how too....
Personally I would rather be poor and have a great life, than be rich and no social life, warmth or interaction with others... Sure many chinese people that I have met in the recent weeks are party goers but the mark has to surpass that....

Agreed. Call me stereotypical but I think most of HK'ers are quite reserved when it comes to partying. Got a couple of friends who are Hk' ers and they seems to foreign to the whole concept of partying. They just don't get the idea of go hard or go home lol
A typical night out for them would be eating dinner at some restaurant (not that there's anything wrong with that) and spending the rest of the night at a karoke bar hanging out and singing shitty Canto pop music.
If it's not going out then it's staying at home watching HK TV on satellite as this is the case with my next door neighbour...

I used to do 14 hr shifts four hours sleep and start all over again and 8 hr shift is bog standard specially since it is most likely a 9 to 5 job....

If you have the will you find the way.... The human body can take more abuse than you think.... Look up a think called coffee... it might help.

Sylvester - yeah true that. I dunno what it is with their obsession with shopping, it's just so part of their materialistic culture I guess...

Personal opinion (To avoid being flamed): I think shopping centres and shopping malls are the dullest venues ever invented. Specially since one can be buying the same stuff online at a far better price. This clinical feel of going to a venue where , one spends the day window buying stuff one could never really afford..... dull dull dull....
Since I spend a few months in morroco and Brazil one notices that street markets are so much more fun and bargins can be made. Sure one might argue, safety, hygiene and amazing "cool" western-brands that will make you feel better than your peers.... but that is so f`ucking boring in the long run. I would never take a bird to a shopping centre unless I wanted to dump her in a public venue.... :smt003
-----

On the side of karaoke (this is also my preference), I see it as a piss take and should only be done in good company since you would be very drunk to have the nerve to do it.... Yes I know people in Asia think that Karaoke is the dogs bollocks (really good) but if I wanted to embarase myself I would walk down the street naked.... :smt003
