Philia presents E+E: Illustrations by Emily Eldridge. Emily Eldridge is originally from the United States, where she studied illustration at the Savannah College of Art & Design. Based in Hong Kong for the past three years, she takes inspiration from the oddities and unique aspects of Asian culture and history around her. She incorporates her personal experiences and world travels into her lighthearted, colorful and feminine pieces.
The obsession for house music never ends, as the 5th floor offers a new month of house debauchery, called “Wicked” in October, featuring a revamped DJ line-up. The theme for October 2008 will be ‘Wicked’. Expect a devilish, hot, naughty, energetic and vibrant atmosphere every week on the 5th floor this month. To compliment the themed environment, the 5 diverse DJs lined up for October will be playing wicked and sexy house music, giving one a taste of both heaven and hell.
It will be a ‘wicked’ month with something for everyone; coupled with the fantastic line-up of DJs, the 5th Floor of Beijing Club will be the place to be where both Heaven and Hell awaits you!
Jam 2008 is Hong Kong’s very own International Music and Dance Festival. JAM 2008 is a blend of two artistic disciplines and plays host to the YRock POP music and dance awards. The aim of the festival is to highlight overseas artists in Hong Kong and showcase Asia Pacific’s home grown and emerging talent to the International markets. JAM seeks to encourage the development of high quality and original artists in music and dance through providing JAM as a platform for undiscovered talent.
This year Jam returns with an even bigger line-up with Multi-Platinum Selling Artist Simon Webbe headlining the all day event.
