As the Marco Polo German Bierfest is not happening this October 2020 and will return in 2021, where do we all go to celebrate Oktoberfest in Hong Kong when it happens in Europe?
It just so happens that this October a number of restaurants and bars around Hong Kong have put together tasty looking food menus, activities and not to mention beers during the month of October. We have listed some of the places you can visit and hopefully we will add more as time goes along.
INK (Tsim Sha Tsui)
The place located by the harbour (that unfortunately we have not visited yet) is offering a variety of traditional dishes, as well as serving Hong Kong's very own Gweilo beer. This 'pop-up' dinner menu will be on the 23rd October and 24th October 2020.
The price is HK$380+10% per person, including the set menu and one beer each. Seating options are at 6 pm, 6:30 pm and 7 pm and reservations are required. To book now CLICK HERE.
ZAKS (Discovery Bay)
ZAKS for the whole month of October has a number of Oktoberfest dishes available from sausages to pretzels and beer deals such as HK$225 for a 2L barrel of Lowenbrau beer! To view their full promotional menu you can CLICK HERE.

BaseHall the food hall in Jardine House that opened up earlier this year is partnering with Young Master Ales to bring an Oktoberfest experience on Friday 23rd October and Saturday 24th October 2020 to transform the place into a traditional Bavarian beer tent. The local brewer will be serving exclusively their Oktoberfest Pilsner as well as their full line-up of Young Master Ales’ beers (including the 1842 Island IPA, Fleeting Clouds Wheat beer, and the Hak Mo Sheung Double Chocolate stout).
For the food, each of BaseHall’s eight food vendors will offer an exclusive menu of bites inspired by the types of food you would usually experience at a Oktoberfest.
Friday 23rd October 2020: 5pm to late; cask tapping at 7pm.
Saturday 24th October: Family-friendly activities from 11am to 5pm; cask tapping at 7pm followed by traditional Bavarian games.
