Hong Kong’s Coolest New Dining Venue Promises
The Best of On and Off shore
80-storey “chandelier” to light up an urban outdoor lounge
Chic international wining and dining twinned with a chilled-out, urban ambience is coming to Central’s ‘L Place’ with the opening of a new restaurant and bar concept rivaling the world’s coolest venues. Complementing the experience is a ‘feast for the senses’ with a menu combining the freshest sustainable seafood and most succulent dry-aged steaks from around the globe.
Shore is also serving one of the most exciting drinks selections in town including fine wines, premium champagnes and exotic cocktails.
Along with signature seafood and steak dishes on the menu, is a range of starters, salads, platters to share and grill items, plus a daytime menu of light snacks and quick bites. The 10,000 sq ft split-level venue is named after the confluence of its ‘Onshore’ and ‘Offshore’ zones, separated by a winding staircase in the centre, serving an array of seafood and steak highlighted by the “meat bible” from which one can choose the size and cut right off the bone!
Set to be the new chill-out spot in Central, Shore’s spacious 1,800 sq ft outdoor lounge, with large comfortable sofas, is ideal for al fresco cocktails or champagne with friends, casual lunches and corporate parties.
And at night, the al fresco area will be bathed in kaleidoscope of colourful light from the 80-storey ‘The Centre’ next door, in a spectacular urban chandelier effect.
From the sleek and elegant bar to the two lounge areas, Shore will be buzzing from 8pm nightly to the hottest mix from international DJs.
Executive Chef is Jason Black, who has been heading Hong Kong’s Zest and Frog Face Fish restaurants since 2005.
“We have pared everything back to basics. Premium ingredients, precise cooking and an unfailing passion to showcase comfort food at its best. There are no foams, or flash in the pan ingredients from a chemistry set- it is simply food you can put a knife and fork to.” he says.
Designer Kinney Chan has adopted natural materials like wood and granite with soothing tones including ‘underwater’ ocean blue to conceptualize the onshore and offshore themes.
Shore will be offering “hospitality for all occasions” from fashionable private dining and formal dinners to corporate entertaining, product launches, cocktail events and wine tastings.
Shore is opening in September at:
