Vanina Chimeno, the Executive Chef and General Manager of the renowned 1884 Restaurant in Argentina, will be presenting her traditional Argentina cuisine with a new level of quality at Oyster & Wine Bar from 15 to 24 September. An exclusive yet exquisite Argentina gastronomic enjoyment which cannot be missed!
Vanina started her career as a chef in 1998 and is now the person in charge of 1884 Restaurant. 1884 was listed as the 7th best wine country restaurant in the world in a UK wine professional survey conducted by Square Magazine, the UK’s premier restaurant guide. Jancis Robinson also called 1884 one of the best wine country dining experiences in a recent Financial Times article.
Vanina cooks in a way of traditional Argentina style with a contemporary touch, using only the freshest, local ingredients. And, this time, she will specially design a menu to match with wines from Bodega Catena Zapata from Argentina following her distinctive cooking principle.
This will be the first time Vanina comes to Hong Kong, pampering eat-lovers with her expertise in creating fine food in September. Moreover, on 22 September 2006, Oyster & Wine Bar will host a gourmet evening with marvelous cuisine prepared by Vanina, coupled with rare wines from Bodege Catena Zapata ($998 per person).
