Peel lounge, located at the corner of Elgin and Peel Streets, is the latest addition to the booming Central Soho district. The sleek bar features a relaxing and comfortable sitting area on one side, with deep booth seats on the other end, separated by a long bar.
Decorated in contemporary blacks and copper colour scheme, the ceiling sports a floating wave design, while the bar’s surrounding enclosures can be opened up to provide an al fresco ambience.
Peel’s signature drinks feature a variety of fruit-based cocktails, such as Peel (Absolute Mandarin, blood orange juice, rose wine and candied orange peel), Peel-lini (sparkling wine and peach liqueur), Vanilla Mango Mojito (vanilla rum, mint, mango juice and lime juice, Lemon and Basil Martini (gin, Limoncello, Bianco Vermouth, lemon juice and fresh basil), Champagne Julep (Champagne, fino sherry, lemon syrup, mint and caramelized lime), Hibiscus Sidecar (Cognac, orange liqueur, hibiscus syrup and lemon juice), and Tiramisu (Baileys caramel, Amaretto, Kahlua and espresso).
An ideal lounge to stop-off for before-and-after dinner drinks, a range of tempting snacks is also available. The special Peel Platter includes almond-crusted tiger prawns, goat cheese crumble, chicken wings in house spices, flash-fried calamari, and smoked salmon, halibut and crab rolls. The Dessert Platter offers mascarpone cheese cake, glazed lemon tart, sticky toffee pudding and pavlova with strawberries.
With art spaces such as Republic 82 and Soho Gallery opening in recent months, along with new shops, restaurants and cafes, Peel Street is now Hong Kong’s newest leisurely shopping and entertainment hotspot.
