Having opened their second store in Hong Kong on the 7th of April; Saboten Japanese Cutlet welcomes guest with more “real taste of tonkatsu” after their first opening in Mira Dining 2011.
Ever since 1966, the cutlet shop founded by Mr. Bunzo Tanuma was first opened in Shinjuku, aiming to offer the most authentic flavors with quality ingredients and excellent service. It quickly grew into becoming the most prominent tonkatsu chain in Japan, owning now over 500 outlets worldwide.
Emphasizing on a sophisticated but traditional Japanese interior; the new Tern Plaza store uses natural wood as its core element, and is adorned with modern decorations like vermilion rope curtains and photo light boxes upon entrance. Warmly lit with large windows of the city view; the place holds an 84 person capacity.
Always fresh, Saboten includes the premium Miyazaki breed from Kyūshū which is fresh and juicy even after deep frying in 173 degrees. With a special Hokkaido dipping sauce made out of onions, carrots, tomatoes, apples and over 10 different spices to savor with the crispy golden loin; the cutlet comes with unlimited refills of cabbage salad and homemade dressings.
With signature dishes like hand-crafted 20 slice morsel Mille- feuille, Kagoshima pork slices in hot pot series and the Pork Tenderloin Roll; enjoy different pork options on the menu by Chef Mr. Masato and his team at Saboten Tsimshatsui now.
