1,500 artists have now signed up to Bye Bye Plastic’s #PlasticFreeParty movement, requesting an Eco-Rider. This means there will be no single use plastic in their DJ booths when they perform.

Some big names in the electronic music industry have signed up including Richie Hawtin, Pete Tong, Honey Dijon, Ben Klock, Patrick Topping, Cassy, Sven Väth, Nicole Moudaber, Eats Everything and Annie Mac have all signed up.

As a promoter and a publication, this is really something that should be an industry standard worldwide, where it really is not necessary at all for single use plastics to be used at festivals and clubs.

We are really excited about this development and cannot wait for all those touring to get on board and have this written into their hospitality riders wherever they go. Bye Bye Plastic has a number of roles including help clubs and festivals make the transition to single use plastic free events. hkclubbing.com is looking forward to supporting!
