Tell us a little bit about how you got started as a DJ / Producer? Who was your biggest inspiration?

I started very young as Bass and keyboard player in different Pop / Rock bands. My dreams were to get a band, releasing albums, touring the world. At 17 years old, one of my best friends was Djing and studying Sound Engineer. He learn me about using softwares and recording my own music. From that day i completely changed my mind. I became obsessed by composing all by myself, changing the structure of the sound and write my own melodies. Since I never stopped.I Had a lot of inspiration, the most will probably be Michael Jackson but all pop music, synth pop and disco music from middle of 70's till end of 80's.Daft Punk, Cassius and all this first French Touch generation were not innocent in my musical education too.

Will this be your first time in Hong Kong?  Is there anything that you are looking forward to doing or seeing in particular?

Yes, first time in Hong-Kong. I really love the Chinese culture ! Unfortunately, I can't stay longer than a couple of days but i'm looking forward to be submerged in traditional customs like trying typical food, etc..

How do you feel that DJing and producing has changed over the last few years?

I started Djing with vinyls and today i play with USB keys. That's not a bad thing, not a good thing, it's different. Producing is the same. The sound evolute every day as the way to compose and arrange tracks. Things changes very quickly and it's part of our job to adapt. But i don't really think about that, i think you have to live in now..

What was your favourite memory of 2012 and what do you have planned for 2013?

My last summer holidays in the south of Spain with some friends. Good times, good memories ! For 2013, lot of work, lot of studio days and some collaboration. But concretely, I already can announce that my second single featuring Dominique Young Unique is coming early in the year and some remixes on different labels like Smile Recordings, Future Classic, No Brainer Records.

What can we expect from your upcoming performances at W Hong Kong on New Years Eve?

Some love, lot of fun, a pinch of emotions with smile and champagne. Happy New-Year !

Aside from your DJ equipment, name your top three touring essentials.

My LaptopMy strong hold gelMy colored socks.

What is the weirdest thing that you’ve seen from the DJ booth?

Probably a guy completely naked enjoying the party like if it was his last night on earth! Troubling..

Do you have any pre gig rituals?

Not really, i'm not superstitious. A shot of vodka before starting djing would be fine ;)

Who in your opinion are the best up-and-coming producers at the moment?

Diplo is probably one of the best and most asked productor of the moment but we should definitely keep an eye on Disclosure, Duke Dumont and the guys from Club Cheval !

If you weren’t a DJ/Producer what would you be doing?

A Samuraï in another world, another time.
