caught up with John Digweed before he performs at HYDE on the 16th December 2011. We asked him a few questions during his busy schedule.

hkclubbing: We heard there maybe a new Bedrock residency returning to London - announced but no details of who, where etc. Any bits of news you can share with us?
John Digweed: We are going to announce the full details next weekend I am very excited about getting back to a regular gig in London, The venue is great and I will be playing most of the night.

hkclubbing: What’s it like having a world class athlete as a brother? Do you have any time to join him at events and does he get the chance to go with you at all?
John Digweed: Our paths never cross really as I am a night person and he is out during the day
hkclubbing: What do you enjoy doing away from music?
John Digweed: Relax with family and friends as thats the most important thing in life and try and catch up on some sleep.

hkclubbing: You have had residencies across the UK and North America, and toured the globe extensively. How do you think the Asian scene compares to these more established markets?
John Digweed: Well it`s always growing for me the parties seem to get better each time i come and the more DJ`s that come to asia the better the scene will get and will also help to build a strong base of local DJ`s and producers.
hkclubbing: For some of us in Hong Kong we have seen you a number of times since the Global Underground CD you did and feel that you have been a part of the Hong Kong scene since the beginning, how do you feel about that?
John Digweed: I love Hong Kong it`s an amazing place with a lot of history, I feel very welcome when i come and the people really make a feel at home and the parties are always very special, plus the food is amazing :)

hkclubbing: Any exciting plans or events that you have already confirmed for 2012 (besides the new residency)?
John Digweed: I have a great music project with Nick Muir coming out in march 2012 plus some great tour dates already lined up for the first 6 months full details can be found at  or
