Hong Kong-based curator Sigma Production is staging Hong Kong’s first-ever EDM festival this summer – DJ Revolution Festival 2014 will be held at AsiaWorld-Expo on 30 September, featuring DJ live performance by world renowned talents Alesso, MOTi, Dubvision and Hot Mouth.

With the growing popularity of electronic dance music (EDM) in the west, Sigma Production is on a mission to promote the EDM culture in this part of the world, and to inspire moments of happiness and unity that connect people to each other. Having organised various mind blowing DJ Revolution club nights in Hong Kong since 2013, Sigma is taking it to the next level this summer with the city’s first-ever DJ Revolution Festival 2014 which will bring an unprecedented experience that music lovers in Hong Kong deserve.

Headlining the festival is Stockholm-born Alesso, who is currently ranked number 13 DJ in the world. Since his debut in the scene in 2011, Alesso has achieved worldwide recognition with wide support of his original productions and remixes from the likes of Avicii, Swedish House Mafia, Tiësto, Sander van Doorn, Kaskade and other well-established DJs. Now a regular at some of the world’s largest festivals and collaborating with producers such as Sebastian Ingrosso, Calvin Harris and One Republic, Alesso continues to bring uplifting moments to the forefront of global dance music. From his first single ‘Nillionaire’ and breaking through with the dark and energized ‘Raise Your Head’, Alesso has had successive Beatport chart toppers.

Along with Alesso to appear in the festival are a host of up-and-coming DJs. Dutch artist MOTi has been hooked on music since an early age and has never stopped looking for the most cutting edge sounds. With the successful “Back to Acid” in 2013 and this year’s collaboration with DVBBS “This is Dirty” which went number 3 overall on the Beatport Top 100, MOTi is surely rising to the top of the progressive house paradigm.

Also hailing from the Netherlands are DJ and producing duo DubVision, formed by the Leicher brothers Victor and Stephan. Their passion for music leads to great tracks such as “All By Myself” – the track that is being played everywhere and by everyone featuring the duo’s signature sounds. The track went straight up to number 8 in the Progressive House chart and number 25 overall on Beatport.

The brainchild of Jon Pegnato, Hot Mouth was born in 2008 with the release of original tracks, collaboration and remixes on key labels, which generated several Beatport Top 10 hits in 2009. In 2014, Hot Mouth showcases a distinguished edge with the track “Flash”. A no-nonsense dance floor fire starter, “Flash” is a driven and funky tech-house output that oozes with electro house appeal.
