It’s time for Hong Kong to ‘fika’ The Swedish approach to savour life
“Fika” is a Swedish verb that describes the act of meeting to drink coffee while enjoying traditional pastries in any home or workplace in Sweden. It is deeply rooted in each and every Swede and is an integral and undeniable part of Swedish coffee culture.
KAFFE, as the café inside Squarestreet boutique is called (meaning COFFEE in Swedish), offers the good people of Hong Kong the opportunity to enjoy classic Swedish homemade pastries paired with beans roasted in Sweden, in a cosy and intimate environment.
All KAFFE takeaway utensils are compostable and ecofriendly and our cup sleeves are proudly decorated with the classic folk art called “Kurbits” from the Dalarna region in central Sweden. All pastries are made by a Swedish baker following traditional recipes, and our beans are delivered weekly, 3 days after roasting, to keep the coffee as fresh as possible.
